Ferrit magnets
-
Ferrite magnets are easy to recognize because of their color, they are usually dark gray or black. Ferrite magnets are classified as non-corrosive and therefore do not require additional coating. This means that they can be used outdoors. Ferrite magnets are significantly weaker than Neodymium magnets.
On the other hand, they are cheaper, suitable for outdoor use (resistant) and can withstand up to 250 ° C. If size and strength are not important to you, then ferrite magnets can be a good alternative to Neodymium magnets.
