    How does it work?

    When white light enters the prism:

    It refracts (changes direction) when passing from air to glass.

    Light of different wavelengths refracts differently.

    As a result, dispersion occurs - white light is split into a spectrum of colors (rainbow).

    The decomposition of light in a triangular prism was first studied in detail by Isaac Newton in the 17th century, showing that white light is made up of different colors.
